NELSON MEETS WITH GUAM FIRE DEPARTMENT TO DISCUSS REVENUE ENHANCEMENTS IN ORDER TO OPEN FIRE STATION

Senator Telena Cruz Nelson met with Guam Fire Department (GFD) Assistant Fire Chiefs Burrier and Ungangco this morning to discuss Bill No. 251-34 (LS). If enacted into law, Bill No. 251-34 (LS) would implement GFD’s recommendations for an updated fee schedule, allowing GFD to immediately realize much needed cash flow. “It’s been confirmed by the Guam Fire Department that these revenue enhancements will help make up for any funding shortfall they may be experiencing. It’s time for the Governor to listen to his people and let them do what they do best: Keep the People of Guam safe”, stated Senator Nelson.
