Senator Nelson Meets with Japan Officials Regarding Update on Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants
(Hagåtña, Guam) Senator Telena Cruz Nelson met with Tatsuo Sunahara the Principal Deputy Director of International Nuclear Energy Cooperation Division Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department on Friday, February 24, 2017 to discuss the current state of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Senator Nelson expressed her concerns for Guam and the surrounding Pacific Region waters, coastal zones, marine ecosystems, and fisheries that are threatened by the spread of radioactive contamination.

Mandana Drug Task Force Forced To Combat Epidemic
Governor Eddie Calvo has had enough. "I've been to too many funerals in my life and I look at the person in the casket and somehow drugs were a part of it," he said at a press event at the Governor's Complex at Adelup today, during which he signed an executive order establishing the Mandana Drug Task Force.
